Darfon plays a key role in the global IT and green energy supply chain. We have long adhered to the RBA Code of Conduct and Conflict Minerals Principles, fulfilling our social responsibilities. We also require relevant suppliers to implement and enforce these principles. We also conduct source management and implement PDCA continuous improvement measures when new suppliers are introduced, ensuring that the entire exhibit supply chain truly fulfills Darfon's corporate culture and social commitments.

Supplier Management Guidelines

To align suppliers with Darfur on sustainable development goals and provide clear and followable standards of conduct, Darfur, in line with international sustainability trends and initiatives, referenced the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct and globally recognized standards for labor, health and safety, environment, and ethics, and established the Darfur Electronics Supplier Code of Conduct. The Code clearly stipulates that suppliers must ensure a safe and human rights-respecting work environment, adhere to regulatory compliance, and implement environmentally and socially responsible practices, aiming to jointly enhance the sustainability resilience and competitiveness of the supply chain.

To further implement the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct, Darfur regularly communicates its Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental, Safety, and Health Policy, RBA Management System Requirements, and Conflict Minerals Ban Policy to all registered suppliers annually, and disseminates the latest RBA guidelines to lower-tier suppliers. Furthermore, Darfur promptly notifies suppliers of significant policy updates to ensure they fully understand and fulfill their sustainability responsibilities in accordance with the latest standards. The Darfur Electronics Supplier Code of Conduct aims to achieve 100% signatory rate by 2024.

New Supplier Management

To establish a comprehensive green product management system, suppliers are assessed for Hazardous Substance Free (HSF) requirements before selection. Suppliers are required to complete a questionnaire assessing their environmental protection, safety and health management policies, human rights policies, social standards, and business ethics policies. Only those who pass the questionnaire can qualify as a qualified supplier. Furthermore, to ensure effective implementation of the RBA Code of Conduct, both major and new suppliers undergo a sustainability risk assessment using the "Social and Environmental Responsibility Assessment Summary Form." For areas identified as requiring improvement, suppliers are required to develop improvement plans. Suppliers found to have material violations of the RBA Code of Conduct are given one month to submit improvement plans and undergo re-evaluation. By 2024, all new suppliers aim to meet 100% environmental and social standards.
