In managing environmental impacts, Darfon focuses on pollution prevention and the implementation of robust environmental management systems. We are also advancing our efforts in renewable energy adoption and supply chain decarbonization to drive more proactive carbon reduction actions and contribute to global climate change mitigation.

Environmental Policy

In keeping with its commitment to environmental sustainability, Darfon has fully implemented the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System at all sites and complies with applicable laws, regulations, and international standards in its efforts to protect the natural environment and promote the sustainable use of resources. Based on the environmental development goals established by the Sustainability Development Committee, each site sets annual KPIs according to its specific characteristics and implements and tracks progress accordingly. Based on the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) management cycle, we convene environmental management review meetings annually and review the annual environmental policy each quarter to continuously improve overall environmental management performance.

To fulfill our firm commitment to the SBTi 1.5°C carbon reduction pathway and net-zero emissions, we are actively incorporating the acquisition of carbon sinks into the Company’s carbon reduction strategy. In addition to advancing energy transition and green product innovation, Darfon is committed to moving toward a Nature Positive future. Through investment in nature-based solutions (NbS), including habitat restoration, tree-planting adoption programs, and ecological conservation, we seek to strengthen the carbon sequestration benefits of ecosystems. We are gradually building capabilities to quantify nature-related financial impacts and integrating the value of natural capital and carbon sinks into corporate decision-making and risk management frameworks. Through science-based management, we aim to enhance resource resilience and work with stakeholders toward a new milestone in sustainable operations.

Environmental Expenditures

Darfon’s environmental expenditures totaled NTD 97.925 million in 2025, accounting for 0.39% of total revenue. Expenditures were concentrated primarily on pollution prevention expenses (37.80%) and waste disposal expenses (33.81%), demonstrating the Company’s continued efforts to strengthen pollution control and waste management. By site, the Huai’an site recorded the highest expenditures, indicating that it was a key area of environmental management.
