[Waste-Free Market] Receives Praise Again – A Recycling and Treasure-Care Journey, Let’s Hunt for Treasures and Love the Earth!
This year, we're hosting the "Rest Free Market (RRFM)" again. With a "no exchange, no buying, no selling, pure sharing" approach, we invite our colleagues to practice the spirit of cherishing things and caring for the earth. The market isn't just about the exchange of goods; it's about a shift in perspective. The question is no longer "how to meet needs," but "how to reduce waste," freeing up space, letting go of burdens, and living a more relaxed and carefree life.
The event, which ran from August 11th to 15th, involved collecting unused items in four categories through our company platform. Dedicated volunteers helped sort and organize them, and then welcomed them to new owners at the market stalls. All items were given away free of charge, allowing "old loves" to become "new loves" and truly making the most of them.
In addition to the treasure hunt, the event also featured a "Classification Sharpshooter" game, which combined education with entertainment to foster a deeper understanding of environmental protection. A highlight of the event is that stallholders can choose to collect any items that haven't been successfully matched after the market, or volunteers can sort them out and donate them to charitable organizations, such as the Shubao Secondhand Bookstore Charity Project, Used Shoes Rescue, nursing homes, and family assistance centers. If a match still can't be made, volunteers will assist with recycling, ensuring each item returns to a meaningful resource value chain.
This year's market collected over 2,400 items, with over 80% successfully finding new homes. Thank you to everyone who enthusiastically participated, and let's make waste reduction a valuable sharing experience!
